GIVING BACK
Supporting people in need at Buddhist village ThaBarWa in Myanmar
ThaBarWa Center (‘သဘာဝ’ in Burmese, meaning ‘nature’) in Thanlyin (Yangon Region), Myanmar, is a Buddhist village welcoming, in a non-discriminatory fashion, all individuals who seek refuge, care, and desire to practice meditation. The center provides a sanctuary to more than 4 500 yogis, including disabled, sick, aging, abandoned, homeless, orphans, and underprivileged individuals. Food, lodging, and teaching are provided free of charge thanks to financial and material donations, which allow ThaBarWa to offer a place for all people regardless of their nationality, age, social status, faith, and health condition, while giving them the opportunity to practice Dhamma and ease their suffering.
ThaBarWa played a significant role in the shaping and materialization of Kůra Růka, born out of gratitude and compassion, and greatly influenced Raphaël during his time volunteering at the center. With the aim of returning the favor, Kůra Růka is committed to donate each year 15% of all the proceeds coming from its labor of love to ThaBarWa Center starting 2025. If you are also in capacity to financially support the center, you are welcome to do so. Any help is precious. Thank you very much for your contribution.
